Who We Are
Emma Spiegler

Emma Spiegler

Founder, COAP

Whilst her mum was still drinking, Emma began to get counselling and regularly went to support groups for families affected by their loved ones’ addictions. She learned new ways of coping and found that by talking to others who understood, a massive weight had been lifted off her shoulders.

In 2006 Emma founded COAP (Children of Addicted Parents and People) and created a peer-to-peer mentoring website gives young people the opportunity to air the concerns they have about someone whose addiction is affecting them. Her vision is for young people who have been through these negative experiences to provide hope, support and guidance to others who are going through them.
