How it began
No one knew what would happen when twenty-one of the UK’s most promising social entrepreneurs came together in the same room. And neither did any of the young entrepreneurs who left their busy schedules for a week to take part in an academy, organised by innovation experts? What If!? and UnLtd.
We all had different experience, backgrounds and interests. Yet it was the opportunity to combine our ideas and talents that inspired us to form the Commission for Youth Social Enterprise shortly after the academy finished. We made it our mission to help future generations make a lasting positive impact on their world.
Young people in the UK are bubbling with energy to explore, think, feel, and do. We believe that young people’s energy should be captured and channelled to benefit society at large. We want to create ways to ensure the creative talents of young people are valued and recognised. The Commission for Youth Social Enterprise is leading this movement with members are young and passionate about the issues that are close to their hearts and the communities they live in.
